EZRA our Uganda Charity	EZRA is the Hebrew word for Help and was named so by the founder, former Headteacher, and ex-Bedwellty pupil, Mrs. Mary Griffiths. She has been working on the project since 1993, when she first visited the area, and was stricken by the poor conditions. The Kings Primary School was opened in May 2004, with only 2 classrooms. More classrooms will be opened in February 2005 but there are no resources for them. The school lacks basics such as tables, chairs, cupboards, sports equipment. So the pupils of Bedwellty decided to send their surplus furniture, equipment, books and sports kit out to Uganda. The Ugandan children have nothing, if they want a game of football they have to first weave the ball out of grass, the ball rarely survives the game!
